Hand in Hand For Women works for the integration of foreign women with many projects in Sweden. We collaborate with ABF and FOLK – Huset i Skärholmen on the project ‘Book Circle’. Come on, now we read together;
- To build a stronger society,
- To improve the participants’ Swedish and encourage them to read,
- To learn Swedish culture, history, and literature,
- To make many friends from different cultures.
27 groups – 25 circle leaders and 154 participants – participated in the project during the first period.
If you want to take part in this project, please fill in the form for the second period. Click for the form!
The 2nd Period of Book Circle begins on February 1!
The theme for the books to be read in the second period of the book circle, which will take place between 1 February and 4 April, is “Migration and Integration”. During this period, all participants are expected to pick up their books themselves, which they will read. Therefore, we recommend that you make the necessary arrangements for the delivery of books before the period begins.
Those who want to continue with their group during the first period will continue the project by deciding on a joint book with their group. Those who read the comic books (Flicka försvunnen, En ö i havet, Utvandrarna) must fill in the form again.
As the quota for participation in the project will be limited to 150 people, active participation is important for the project to be able to continue. Thank you for your sensitivity about it.
At the end of the semester we will have a conversation with psychiatrist Vedat Bilgic about “Immigration and immigration psychology”. We hope it will be a fun and beneficial period for all our participants.
